ASSIGNMENT: District Services Facilities - 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 12 months per year. Regularly assigned shift is: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Supervisor of Grounds, performs a wide variety of pipe related work; installs, repairs, builds, and modifies sprinkler systems to assure proper irrigation of the District's landscaped areas; maintains inventory parts and supplies for sprinkler repair work; places orders for additional materials according to established procedures. Must be able to operate tractors, trencher, small and medium vehicles.
Requirements / Qualifications
DMV report (DMV Driver's Record no more than 30 days old); Possession of California Qualified Applicators License is desirable. Selected candidate must successfully complete a physical agility exam prior to placement in the position.
REQUIRES: Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in the installation and repair of irrigation systems, including experience with computerized irrigation systems; possession of valid California Driver’s License (a recent DMV printout is required at time of application). Possession of California Qualified Applicators License is desirable. Selected candidate must successfully complete a physical agility exam prior to placement in the position.
