Painter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on both residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help bring clients' visions to life while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restoration to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and eye for detail to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications.
• Perform specialty painting tasks including industrial painting, stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration projects.
• Install fixtures, trim carpentry, moldings, and perform renovation work involving demolition and remodeling.
• Use construction estimating skills to assess project needs and materials required for each job.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or related fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and equipment such as airless sprayers and welding tools.
• Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues and finishes that meet client specifications.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
• Skills in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry finishing, and concrete finishing are highly desirable.
• Construction site experience with an understanding of safety standards and procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and estimations; familiarity with schematics is a plus.
• Strong maintenance person experience including fixture installation and maintenance tasks.
• Additional skills such as welding or industrial painting are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
