Role Description This full-time, on-site Technician role is based in CNY. The Technician will perform a variety of hands-on tasks, which may include basic repairs, installation of fixtures or equipment, routine maintenance, and general handyman services at customer locations. Responsibilities include assessing job requirements, gathering appropriate tools and materials, and completing work safely, accurately, and on schedule. The role involves troubleshooting issues on-site, communicating clearly with clients about work being performed, and providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance or additional services. The Technician will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, following company safety standards, and completing basic documentation such as work orders, time logs, and service reports.
Qualifications
- Strong general handyman or technical trade skills, with the ability to perform basic repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools, read basic instructions or diagrams, and follow established procedures on-site.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain work to clients in clear, respectful language.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team in an on-site environment.
- Basic problem-solving skills and sound judgment to assess issues and propose practical solutions.
- Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation to job sites in and around Syracuse, NY, and the ability to meet physical requirements of the role (such as standing, lifting, and working with tools).
