What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Assistant/Caregiver position at Hands of Healing Provider Services?
Hands of Healing is looking for a dependable and personable caregiver to help in Pearland, TX.
Core Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assisting with "hands-on" needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Assistance: Helping the client move safely around the home, transferring from bed to chair, and preventing falls.
- Medication Reminders: Ensuring the client takes the correct dosages at the prescribed times (note: non-medical caregivers usually remind, while licensed staff administer).
- Meal Preparation: Planning and cooking nutritious meals based on the client’s dietary restrictions and assisting with feeding if necessary.
Housekeeping & Logistics
- Light Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean environment by doing dishes, laundry, vacuuming, and taking out the trash.
- Transportation: Driving the client to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
- Errands: Picking up prescriptions or handling general household shopping.
Emotional & Health Support
- Companionship: Engaging in conversation, playing games, or accompanying the client on walks to reduce isolation.
Schedule Detail
This is a consistent, part-time day shift totaling 29 hours a week.
- Mondays-Fridays: 8:30-1:30pm
- Saturdays, Sundays: 8:30am-10:30am
