Position Summary
HDI is seeking a Specifications Manager to support architects, designers, and project stakeholders in understanding and specifying HDI’s railing systems. This is not a sales position and does not include commissions. Instead, the role focuses on consultation, education, product expertise, and relationship-building to ensure accurate and informed project specifications.
As a trusted advisor, the Specifications Manager bridges the gap between architectural vision and product capability, helping design teams make informed decisions that support project functionality, safety, and aesthetics. The individual in this role serves as HDI’s subject-matter expert throughout the design process.
The ideal candidate will bring strong industry experience, excellent communication skills, and a motivated, professional presence when delivering presentations or representing HDI.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a knowledgeable product consultant for architects, designers, and specifiers
- Deliver professional presentations that clearly explain HDI’s products, capabilities, and design solutions
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Sales and the sales team, Project
- Managers, and company leadership.
- Conduct AIA/CES presentations and continuing education sessions
- Document and track specification activity through CRM.
- Develop strong working relationships with architectural firms and design teams
- Support project questions, technical inquiries, and product specification needs
- Travel extensively throughout the state of Florida to meet with clients and conduct presentations
- Represent HDI with reliability, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office required, CRM, Salesforce, or Goldmine experience a plus)
- Confident presenter with the ability to answer technical and product-related questions
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints (highly preferred)
- Must reside in or near Orlando or Tampa area for efficient travel
- Must have a cleandriving record

Schedule – Some Sunday’s depending on the traveling requirements. Mostly Monday - Friday
HDI will conduct a drug test, background check and review driving records as part of the hiring process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
