Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Reading Tutor to support our after-school program. The Reading tutor will work closely with the Site Assistants and Site Supervisor, to supervise children, lead activities, and ensure a positive and safe environment.
Our Reading Tutor should inspire a love of literacy and foster strong reading skills among diverse learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys by providing individualized instruction tailored to each child's unique needs. As a Reading Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting education, literacy development, and language acquisition across various age groups and skill levels. Your enthusiasm and instructional adaptability will help students unlock their full reading potential and build confidence in their abilities.
Duties
- Deliver personalized reading instruction using evidence-based methods, including curriculum development tailored to individual learning styles and goals
- Assess students’ reading levels, identify areas for improvement, and track progress through regular evaluations
- Incorporate instructional adaptability by modifying content and techniques based on student responses and evolving needs
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages active participation, curiosity, and confidence in reading and language skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings or childcare environments,
