Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Site Assistant to support our after-school program. The Site Assistant will work closely with the Site Supervisor, and their colleagues to supervise children, lead activities, and ensure a positive and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and lead age appropriate activities for school age children
- Provide nutritional afternoon snack to students
- Assist staff in program planning
-Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Utilize various teaching methods to engage students and enhance learning
- Adhere to New York State Office of Children and Family Services School Age Regulations.
Requirements
-Strong communication and teamwork skills
-Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with youth
-Ability to maintain a safe and structured environment
- Experience in tutoring, daycare, or childcare settings preferred but not required
- 15 hours of child/youth development and related fields within 6 months of hire
- First aid certification preferred but not required
- Background check, fingerprints & medical clearance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
