Description
Patient Transporter / Radiology Support Technician
Safely transported inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and timely delivery to diagnostic and treatment areas.
Assisted radiologic technologists with mobile imaging procedures in hospitals, nursing homes, correctional facilities, and other off-site locations.
Delivered compassionate, age-appropriate care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Performed limited phlebotomy procedures, including I-STAT specimen collection, and ensured accurate specimen handling and transportation to the laboratory.
Inserted intravenous (IV) catheters in accordance with departmental protocols and patient care standards.
Completed clerical duties, including answering phones, retrieving and filing patient records, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Maintained a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control and safety policies.
Collaborated with radiology staff, nursing personnel, and laboratory teams to support efficient patient care and departmental workflow.
Assisted with the supervision, mentoring, and evaluation of students during clinical rotations and participated in ongoing clinical education initiatives.
Performed additional departmental duties as assigned to support high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
