JOB SUMMARY:

  • Assumes responsibility for:
  • Alphabetize paperwork
  • Filing
  • File non-current documents into reduced files
  • Maintain discharge records
  • Request charts from storage
  • Scanning documents
  • Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Typing skills
  • Attends workshops and in-service training
  • On the job training
  • Ability to speak, read, and write functional English
  • Prefer HIT and ICD-10 coding experience
  • Require experience with medical records filing and storage
