Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to meet quality standards.
Support the kitchen team with cleaning duties, including sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes to maintain a clean dining area and facilitate efficient service.
Participate in manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment using safe lifting practices.
Support food running and delivery from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring timely service for guests.
Assist with food handling procedures in accordance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies.
Contribute to maintaining organized storage areas for ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and assist customers when needed.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is advantageous.
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not required.
Hospitality or hotel experience can be beneficial for understanding guest service expectations.
