SRE Lead – Job Description
Summary: SRE Lead with a strong background -Performance Engineering, Observability, Cloud Technologies, and Software Development., and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive Site Reliability Engineering initiatives across enterprise applications.
- Define, implement, and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and reliability metrics.
- Establish observability and monitoring frameworks using tools such as Prometheus and related monitoring platforms.
- Partner with development teams to improve application performance, resilience, and scalability.
- Lead Performance Engineering and Testing activities, including load testing, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Develop and automate operational processes using scripting and programming languages.
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to support and optimize both Monolithic and Microservices-based architectures.
- Implement cloud-native reliability and automation solutions on AWS.
- Evaluate and leverage AI-driven copilot and Claude.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of IT experience with significant experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong expertise in Performance Engineering, Testing, and Application Monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus and observability platforms.
- Deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and reliability best practices.
- Strong development experience in:
- Python
- Java
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong understanding of:
- Monolithic Architecture
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience in automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
