What are the responsibilities and job description for the REGISTERED DIETITIAN (RD) position at Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing?
The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a part-time (21 hours) RD to join our team. Located on nine acres at the entrance to the historic Village of Southampton, The Hamptons Center is a state-of-the-art, 280-bed skilled nursing facility and short-term rehabilitation center with a diverse patient population. The Clinical Dietitian will conduct initial, annual, and quarterly assessments on residents as needed (including evaluation of current diet interventions and recommendations/changes as necessary), provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and family members, and complete other assigned duties to ensure complete nutritional care of all assigned residents. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, and be a certified RD/RDN from the Commission of Dietetic Registration (RD-eligible candidates may be considered).
MDS, SigmaCare and Gerimenu experience preferred, however, training may be provided to interested candidates that demonstrate a willingness to learn. Time management skills are a must. Candidates should be very detail-oriented, flexible, compassionate and caring to our residents, as they are our number one priority.
