Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or successful completion of GED.
- Three (3) years’ experience as a CDL driver.
- Requires knowledge of various types of vehicles and equipment.
- Requires ability to read a map and follow directions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria.
- Must possess a State of Virginia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B at hire and must obtain the VA CDL Class A within 180 days of employment.
- State of Virginia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A upon hire is preferred.
- This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City’s current substance abuse policy.
