Position Summary:
The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies to keep residents informed, engaged, and connected. This role oversees the production of digital and print communications, manages social media, supports community events, and ensures brand consistency across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with HLCA’s goals and community values.
- Create, edit, and distribute regular newsletters, email blasts, announcements, and community updates.
- Manage content and updates for the Hampton Lake website, app and resident portal.
- Maintain an active and positive presence across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
- Collaborate with staff, committees, and residents to promote community events, programs, and initiatives.
- Oversee the creation and production of print collateral, signage, and promotional materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communications-related inquiries from residents and vendors.
- Monitor feedback channels and analytics to improve engagement and communication effectiveness.
- Ensure all communications reflect the tone, mission, and image of Hampton Lake.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a communications, public relations, or marketing role; experience in a residential or HOA environment preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms such as Mailchimp, WordPress, Canva, social media management tools, and property management systems such as Jonas or ClubEssential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Creative, proactive, and collaborative approach to problem-solving and engagement.
Work Environment:
This position is based on-site in the Hampton Lake community and involves some evening and weekend hours for events and community meetings.
