Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in providing guests with a welcoming breakfast experience, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest service, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or related roles is preferred but not required. Duties
- Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all items are stocked, fresh, and appealing
- Assist guests with food selections, answer questions about menu options, and provide exceptional guest service
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables, bussing dishes, and sanitizing surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food handling activities
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Support catering or banquet events if required, including setup and breakdown of food stations
- Follow proper food handling procedures during meal preparation and service
- Uphold guest relations by providing friendly communication and attentive service
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality preferred; experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic cooking skills including meal preparation, knife skills, meat cutting, and coffee brewing are advantageous
- Experience with buffet setup, bussing tables, cleaning, and general hospitality duties is desirable
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings; prior banquet or catering experience is beneficial
- Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
