Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in residential or commercial spaces, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for clients and guests. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. Prior experience in cleaning, sanitation, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout all assigned areas
- Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with floor care tasks including carpet cleaning and polishing hard floors
- Restock supplies and ensure all cleaning tools are properly maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously
- Follow safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work to prevent accidents or injuries
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping management is advantageous
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to perform laundry duties efficiently and accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and walking long distances within large facilities
- Prior experience in hospitality or custodial roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided
