As a Front Desk Associate, you’ll be the first to greet guests with a warm, genuine welcome, using a clear and professional voice while listening carefully to their requests. You’ll provide helpful information about our hotel amenities and local attractions, verify and process credit cards with electronic methods, handle cash transactions accurately, and post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using our computer system. You’ll also promote our marketing programs, select rooms that best suit our guests’ needs, code electronic keys, and prepare welcome folders complete with room keys, certificates, coupons, and area information.
Your role will also include promptly answering the phone with our hotel’s scripted greeting, resolving issues like room changes, additional amenities, and credit concerns, as well as recording and helping resolve guest comments or complaints—whether it’s a price conflict or a comfort issue.
Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities for you to shine, since miscellaneous job-related duties often pop up to keep things interesting.
On the Night Audit side, you’ll verify that all charges—room rates, discounts, and more—are assigned to the correct departments or guest accounts. You’ll print and file next-day reservations, prepare daily management reports, check figures and documents for accuracy, and perform the End of Day procedure.
Balancing the day’s charges, making corrections, inputting revenue, expenses, and allowances into the system, and resetting for the next day are all part of your routine. You may also be asked to handle other duties by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, depending on hotel needs.
