Duties
- Operate laundry machines efficiently to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing items according to established standards.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to prevent damage and ensure quality results.
- Handle delicate items with care, including dry cleaning processes when necessary, to maintain their integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning machines, workstations, and storage spaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals used in cleaning and dry cleaning processes.
- Assist with special requests from guests or staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens or clothing.
Skills
- Proven experience with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal techniques.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and familiarity with dry cleaning processes is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure all linens and garments meet quality standards before distribution.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, providing insight into guest service expectations.
