Public Areas and Weekend Laundry Attendant

Pay: $11.00–$12.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Wednesday & Thursday: Public Areas Attendant
• Saturday & Sunday: Laundry Attendant
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Approximately 32 hours per week

Hampton Inn & Suites Longview North is looking for a dependable, motivated team member who takes pride in cleanliness and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. This position combines Public Areas during the week with Laundry on the weekends, making every day a little different while helping keep our hotel looking its best.

Wednesday & Thursday – Public Areas Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the hotel lobby, hallways, elevators, and public restrooms.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust all assigned public areas.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain the fitness center and other guest common areas.
• Keep entrances clean and free of debris.
• Restock restroom supplies and paper products.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to management.
• Ensure all public spaces remain clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the shift.

Saturday & Sunday – Laundry Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, washcloths, and bedding.
• Sort laundry by type and level of soiling.
• Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
• Inspect linens for stains or damage and remove worn items from service.
• Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and stocked.
• Deliver clean linens to housekeeping as needed.
• Follow all hotel safety and chemical handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent time management skills.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Push and pull loaded housekeeping and linen carts.
• Work around cleaning chemicals and commercial laundry equipment.

Attendance Expectations

Reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Employees are expected to report to work on time and ready to begin each scheduled shift. Dependability is critical to maintaining hotel cleanliness and ensuring our guests receive an exceptional experience.
