We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Housekeeping Worker to join our team. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laundry and linen services within a hospitality or healthcare environment and to help in housekeeping when needed. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines efficiently and safely
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and clothing items according to established procedures
- Perform dry cleaning tasks when necessary, ensuring delicate items are handled with care
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including cleaning machines and work surfaces regularly
- Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for chemicals and cleaning agents
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when replenishments are needed
- Ensure all laundry items meet quality standards before distribution or storage
- Support other housekeeping duties as assigned to maintain overall cleanliness of the facility
- Technically, you will be in housekeeping and then work in laundry when needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred
- Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks involving lifting or moving linens and equipment
