Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Breakfast Attendant to join our Hampton Inn & Suites team in a part-time capacity. This position is available on Wednesday and Thursday mornings starting at 5am. In this role, you will play a key part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable breakfast experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional hospitality, attention to detail, and a passion for service. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will ensure that our breakfast area is well-maintained, clean, and fully stocked while adhering to all food safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up the breakfast area before service, ensuring all food items are fresh, neatly displayed, and in compliance with Hampton Inn & Suites’ presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting breakfast station throughout the service, ensuring guests feel comfortable.
- Assist guests with meal selections, offering recommendations and explaining menu items, including options for special dietary needs or preferences.
- Brew coffee and prepare beverages, ensuring high quality and consistent presentation in line with Hampton Inn & Suites standards.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using a point-of-sale system, following proper cash handling procedures.
- Monitor food inventory and restock items as needed, ensuring availability of all menu items.
- Ensure food safety guidelines are followed, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Engage with guests in a positive, friendly manner to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or feedback.
- Assist with banquet or catering services as needed, including setup and preparation for group events or special requests.
- Support other hotel departments as needed, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with guests.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Experience using cash registers or point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional service to guests.
- Flexibility to work Wednesday and Thursday mornings and other shifts as needed.
