Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all residential areas, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
• Conduct floor cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and maintaining outdoor walkways when necessary.
• Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care.
• Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively for tasks like carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and surface disinfection.
• Handle manual lifting of furniture or heavy items during deep cleaning or moving tasks while adhering to proper manual handling protocols.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding their specific needs or requests, ensuring a positive customer service experience.
• Maintain organized cleaning schedules and manage time efficiently to complete all assigned duties within designated periods.
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly, including countertops, appliances, windowsills, and outdoor areas when applicable.
• Follow health and safety guidelines related to cleaning procedures and equipment use to promote a safe working environment.

Experience

• Prior experience in residential housekeeping or janitorial roles is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in cleaning techniques such as dusting, surface sanitation, carpet cleaning, and floor care.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning equipment is essential.
• Experience with laundry processes including washing machines, dryers, folding techniques, and linen management.
• Knowledge of manual handling practices for heavy lifting tasks to prevent injury.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple client locations.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and understanding specific housekeeping requirements.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior areas or gardens as part of comprehensive housekeeping services.
