Duties

- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products and services to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting at all times
- Manage inventory levels through stock checks and reporting low-stock items for replenishment
- Provide bilingual support to accommodate diverse customer needs, ensuring clear communication
- Practice excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is highly valued
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote store offerings effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, proactive attitude
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
