Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive start to their day
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, including food presentation, replenishment, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as slicing, portioning, and assembling breakfast items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for any guest transactions related to breakfast service or catering orders
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen stations, and food prep zones by cleaning tables, utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting areas for new guests efficiently and courteously
- Support catering or banquet setups as needed for special events or group reservations
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy mornings and special events
- Provide excellent communication with guests via phone or in-person inquiries about menu options or dietary needs
- Support delivery drivers or catering staff with meal assembly or pickup preparations when required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Experience in catering, banquet service, or hotel hospitality enhances your suitability for this role
- Skilled in meal preparation, coffee brewing (barista experience beneficial), knife skills, meat cutting, and general culinary tasks
- Capable of multitasking efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to assist with cleaning duties including bussing tables and maintaining sanitation standards
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential for providing top-tier service
