We are seeking an Assistant General Manager who is hands-on, reliable, and ready to support daily operations while helping lead the team and drive results.
Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and support all departments. This role is ideal for someone with strong operational experience who is comfortable leading teams, handling guest concerns, and assisting with sales, revenue, and administrative responsibilities. Hilton experience is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Guest Services
- Lead by example on the floor and ensure brand standards are consistently met
- Assist with scheduling, payroll review, labor planning, and shift coverage
- Help train, coach, and onboard team members
- Support revenue efforts including forecasting, pricing reviews, and group coordination
- Assist with local sales activity, site tours, and client follow-up as needed
- Address guest concerns and support strong guest satisfaction scores
- Monitor costs, inventory, and operational controls
- Support maintenance planning, room readiness, and ongoing improvement projects
- Step in for the General Manager as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Prior Assistant General Manager or supervisory experience in hospitality
- Strong background in Front Office and Housekeeping operations
- Hilton experience preferred
- Familiarity with PEP, OnQ R&I, and GRO is a plus
- Exposure to hotel sales, group coordination, or client relationships
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends or holidays when needed
