We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our hotel team. As a Night Auditor, you’ll be responsible for managing the overnight front desk operations while ensuring the accuracy of financial records for the day. This role combines customer service with basic accounting duties and is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and maintaining a calm, secure environment for guests during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries during the overnight shift
- Reconcile and balance daily financial transactions and revenue reports
- Audit guest folios and prepare end-of-day reports for management and accounting
- Ensure that all charges and payments are accurately posted in the system
- Monitor the hotel for safety and security concerns and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Perform basic front desk duties including handling phone calls, reservations, and wake-up calls
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to relevant departments
- Set up or assist with breakfast preparation, depending on hotel needs
- Ensure the lobby and front desk area remain clean, quiet, and presentable overnight
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a night auditor or front desk agent preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and hotel property management systems (PMS)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the night
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
Work Environment:
- Quiet, overnight shift work with minimal supervision
- Standing and light lifting required
- Security awareness and discretion are essential
