Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to prevent issues before they arise.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to restore functionality efficiently.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and facility maintenance manuals to accurately diagnose problems.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed on time.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future repairs.
- Lead or support team members in manufacturing or repair tasks that require mechanical knowledge or electrical experience.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Oversee or participate in supervising experience for junior staff or apprentices to foster a collaborative team environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, and residential painting.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with tools like ohmmeters and understanding electrical codes.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting purposes.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance or facilities setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly with team members and guests.
