Part-Time Laundry Attendant
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing all hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items while maintaining cleanliness and safety in the laundry area. This position helps ensure housekeeping has an adequate supply of clean linens to provide excellent guest service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and other laundry items.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, and excessive wear.
- Separate stained or contaminated items and follow proper handling procedures.
- Operate and maintain washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely.
- Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
- Deliver clean linens to housekeeping closets as needed.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to management.
- Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Assist the housekeeping department with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position. Hours will vary based on business needs and do include weekends and holidays.
