Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant

Job Overview

We are seeking individuals with tremendous personality and a desire to work with people to join our award winning hotel and assist with one of the most important parts of the guests stay, the cleanliness of their room and hotel.

Previous hotel experience is a plus, but not required.

**Must have ability to work weekends and holidays

Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction

Must be able to multi-task, ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs)

Must be 21 years or older.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Safely handle chemical agents used for cleaning and sanitation in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and polishers to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff at all times.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or cleaning supplies while adhering to manual handling safety standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial skills.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining sanitation standards across all areas.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance to maximize efficiency.
• Understanding of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting comfortably while following proper manual handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, cleanliness, and safety compliance.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
