Housekeeping Inspector

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Housekeeping Inspector to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our hospitality environment. Responsibilities

• On any given day, tasks may include any combination of inspecting rooms and completing a board
• Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to brand standards
• Identify areas needing attention or improvement and communicate effectively with housekeeping staff to ensure timely resolution (knowledge of Spanish very helpful)
• Monitor floor care procedures, including vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning, ensuring all surfaces meet quality standards
• Review cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across all areas
• Document inspection results accurately and prepare reports highlighting deficiencies or outstanding performance
• Assist in training new housekeeping team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols
• Enforce health and safety regulations by inspecting equipment, supplies, and work practices regularly
• Participate in room deep cleaning program, per brand standards, completing checklists as assigned.
• May be required to work shifts later in the evening or early-morning hours, based on business needs.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings
• Previous hotel experience or familiarity with hospitality standards is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish would be a huge plus
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards and accuracy when reporting rooms in the system as vacant ready
• Experience with a property management system, such as PEP, OnQ and/or Opera is desirable.
• Ability to lead inspections confidently while providing constructive feedback to team members
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
