- Ensure all surfaces, floors, windows, and fixtures are sanitized and maintained to high standards of cleanliness
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal, sanitation procedures, and environmental services to promote health and safety
- Conduct routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to preserve flooring quality
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning agents, and linens to ensure operational efficiency
- Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or requested by management
Requirements
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or healthcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and environmental services
- Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures precisely
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
