The Hampton inn by Hilton in Hayward is looking for Guest Service Agents to be the face of our hotel. Personable? Outgoing? Organized? You are our ideal person! While working as part of our front desk family, you must be able to multi-task and be willing to go above and beyond to exceed our guests' expectations.
Your main responsibility is to provide top-notch guest service to all of your guests. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
R*eview arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed. *Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information. Handle hotel emergency procedures and situations with maturity and professionalism.
Maintain a balanced bank assigned from the hotel, handling cash and credit transactions with detail and accuracy. Monitor room availability throughout the day.
Regular contact with the other departments such as Accounting, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet to ensure that hotel services are coordinated to provide the best in guest satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications: Previous front desk or hotel experience preferred
Flexible schedule a must. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime as necessitated by the needs of the business. Knowledge of the local area.
Ability to work with computers prefer previous PMS experience Ability to perform accurate moderately complex arithmetic functions using a calculator
Ability to speak foreign language(s) preferred. Ability to communicate, verbally, and in writing, effectively with guests and co-workers; respond to guest requests

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
