What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Groundskeeper position at HAMPDEN-SYDNEY COLLEGE?
Hampden-Sydney College is accepting applications for a part-time groundskeeper. Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Grounds, perform tasks directly related to the maintenance of the College’s grounds, trails, flowerbeds, shrubbery, and trees involving operation of motorized equipment and a variety of hand tools. Duties include mow, cut, water lawns; rake/blow leaves; dig holes for bushes; pull/chop weeds; prune; haul topsoil/mulch. Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads, work in bending/standing positions. Hazard weather duties and special event support required as directed.
Qualifications:Qualifications: Must be able to operate lawn care equipment, be at least 18 years of age, and hold a valid Virginia driver’s license. Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday – Friday, weekends as needed.
