Position Description: Bilingual Spanish Speaking Psychotherapist II

Salary: $73,000-$78,000 DOQ (1.0 FTE)

A $5,000 hiring bonus may apply for this position to qualified candidates!

If applied, the bonus will be paid out in four equal quarterly installments following your hire date, rewarding your continued commitment and impact with our team.

Scope of Position:

The essential purpose of this job is to provide bilingual (English/Spanish) psychotherapy services to adults, from an individual, couples, group, and/or family modalities, with a particular focus on serving Spanish-speaking and culturally diverse communities. Engage in collaborative community care, offering resource referral and support to clients with challenging mental health symptoms and systemic barriers to receiving adequate care. Participate in multi-disciplinary/professional team consultation meetings and other clinical and administrative meetings, as required, and support system wide integration of Hamm’s Model of Care.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) psychotherapy services to adults, from an individual, couples, group, and/or family modality.

2. Deliver culturally and linguistically responsive care to Spanish-speaking clients and families, incorporating cultural values, context, and lived experience into treatment.

3. Maintain client records and files consistent with Hamm Clinic policy and practice as well as governing regulatory bodies, including bilingual documentation when applicable.

4. Complete all job duties and caseload requirements as assigned.

5. Participate in agency committees.

6. Participate in multi-disciplinary/professional team consultation meetings and other clinical and administrative meetings, as required.

7. Support the integration of culturally responsive care in the organization.

8. Provide trauma-informed care in a community mental health setting.

9. Receive clinical supervision in a reflective frame to support quality care and reduction of secondary trauma/vicarious trauma.

10. Effectively coordinate care across disciplines for the provision of quality services.

11. Engage in collaborative community care, offering resource referral and support to clients with challenging mental health symptoms and systemic barriers to receiving adequate care.

12. Observe legal, ethical, and professional conduct practices as mandated by their profession as well as local, state, and federal standards and laws.

13. Respond accordingly to a client crisis which may involve working with other departments or outside support.

14. Additional responsibilities based upon need, interest, expertise, and availability.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

· Strong psychotherapy skills to work with a range of presenting concerns.

· Integration of trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice into clinical work.

· Intersectional lens, cultural humility, and awareness of own areas of privilege.

· Knowledge of issues and resources for a community mental health population.

· Strong interpersonal skills including strong oral, written, and listening communication abilities.

· Ability to work within an evolving mental health environment prioritizing a collaborative/team approach.

· Knowledge of healthcare regulations and documentation requirements for third party payor billing.

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Education/Licensure

· Must have advanced degree in a field or discipline qualified to provide psychotherapy (MSW, MS, MA, PhD, PsyD.).

· Must be independently licensed or eligible to obtain independent licensure in a discipline qualified to practice psychotherapy in Minnesota. This would include, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Psychologist (LP).

Required Qualifications/Experience:

· Must be eligible to independently practice and be credentialed with health plans in Minnesota.

· Must have experience providing individual psychotherapy services.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish (or other languages).
