JOB DESCRIPTION
Hamilton Strategies, a public relations and media firm serving Christian ministries and non-profit organizations, is expanding again and looking for an extremely organized self-starter who is highly motivated, resourceful, energetic, and detailed to perform the following duties:
- Specialized and routine communications duties which often require independent judgment; (talking with clients and coordinating with media, talking points preparation, answering media inquiries, spreadsheet maintenance for various client activities);
- Assists Media Relations Manager and is responsible to support Client Relations Executives who secure local, regional and national media coverage for all clients;
- Maintain daily
- communication with staff, media, vendors and clients as needed;
- Prepare all routine correspondence and spreadsheets on regular basis; prepare client media reports and communications; coordinate and execute special projects; prepare and produce media contracts;
- Develop, prioritize and resolve inquiries (phone, e-mail, in person); contact (written, email, verbal and occasionally in person) media and vendors;
- Assist with agenda preparation; arrange meeting facilities; assist with event coordination;
- Participate in weekly staff and client meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full understanding of Christian faith and biblical values, with the ability to communicate deeply with clients, media and staff on all Christian faith and cultural issues.
- Minimum 3 years of strong communications and administrative experience, preferably in a PR or advocacy firm.
- Excellent academic record; bachelor’s degree required (PR, communications is preferred; English, journalism and other majors are acceptable).
SKILLS:
- Computer Skills Required: Expert in Microsoft Office Systems and Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point, Publisher), Cision database management, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact and CRM software.
- Excellent proof-reading, writing, grammar, spelling skills and phone skills.
- Assertive and confident worker, demonstrating flexibility, teachable spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, godly and positive outlook and a demonstrated team player.
