Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Prepare for clinic operations, including reviewing schedules and participating in team huddles
Perform patient intake (vital signs, medical history, chief complaints)
Document patient information accurately in the EMR system
Assist providers with exams and clinical procedures
Support care coordination by obtaining records from ER visits, hospitalizations, and specialists
Monitor and communicate lab and diagnostic results
Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock medical supplies
Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
Support patient education and connect patients to additional services
Assist with clinic workflow, scheduling adjustments, and team support as needed
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) or ability to obtain within 6 months
CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
Preferred
At least 1 year of experience in a medical or physician office setting
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Familiarity with patient-centered care models
