Duties
- Perform wheel alignments on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy equipment, ensuring accurate specifications are met.
- Diagnose suspension system issues, including shocks, struts, and steering components, using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and mechanical system inspections.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems to repair or replace faulty components.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems efficiently.
- Assist with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and repairs to ensure vehicle safety features function correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle safety standards are met or exceeded.
Requirements
- Prior alignment experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmission, brakes, shocks & struts, and diesel engines.
- Experience working with schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostics software.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and air brake systems is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or heavy equipment mechanics is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
