Title: Key Account Manager
Reports to: Vice President, Global Sales
Primary Location: New York Metropolitan Area
Job Summary:
The Key Account Manager will manage accounts for mass, boutique, independent, off-price, marketplace and ecommerce. This role will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives and building strong long-term customer relationships. The role is accountable for delivering sales targets, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring seamless execution across touchpoints. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, data-driven approach to account planning and collaborate cross-functionally to maximize value for both the customer and the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead sales and profitability objectives for assigned accounts through the development of a comprehensive sales and marketing plan.
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer contact towards achieving monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals, new product placement and promotional activity.
- Manage and accurately forecast product mix and inventory levels with each customer to maximize inventory turns and minimize non-productive inventory.
- Work closely with buyers, independent sales reps and owners as well as cross-functional partners to meet product assortment goals and overall sales growth goals with each account.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities including promotions, pricing, design, and availability.
- Ensure customer needs are met through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or merchandising.
- 3-5 years of experience in wholesale & familiarity with ecommerce & marketplace account management (mid-tier, boutique, independent and off-price channels)
- Consumer products sales experience, preferably in the juvenile category across multiple brands.
- Strong people, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional tech savviness with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, ecommerce platforms and customer portals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing and highly accountable sales environment.
- Flexibility and discipline to work virtually with a willingness to travel to accounts as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a variety of audiences.
- Growth mindset and “win together” mentality with cross-functional partners

Salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and incentives. The base salary hiring range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience.
