Proximo is looking for their next Key Account Manager to make an impact on key accounts in New York City! The Key Account Manager will be responsible for maximizing the sales and marketing of Proximo brands to a targeted account base through effective planning, selling, merchandising and communication that permits achievement of Proximo objectives. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires full and open availability. While this is a New York City position, you must be available to travel outside of the designated market upon request, not to exceed 25%.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to manage 30-35 Key accounts in the Queens/ LI area.
  • Work with Area Manager to identify local promotional activity in Key Accounts
  • Work with Local/National promotional agency
  • Attend and monitor Brand promotions and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Provide feedback to local management and Brand Managers on a scheduled basis.
  • Determine specific needs of individual accounts by analysing account and surveying for opportunities.
  • Establish merchandising objectives relative to each brand priority for each account by understanding Proximo priorities and defining POS needs.
  • Support sales representatives as a training and information resource by presenting and sharing account trends and brand knowledge.
  • Obtain appropriate distribution of Proximo brands throughout account base by presenting and selling based on the brands’ features and benefits.
  • Understand company pricing and product programming information monthly by reviewing and maintaining accurate and up to date records.
  • Understand competitive pricing and product programming by reviewing pricing schedules and surveying accounts.
  • Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account standards as determined by Proximo Area Manager and using effective and current point of sale materials when appropriate.
  • Educate account staff on priority brands by administering instructional staff training seminars.
  • Organize and execute events and brand promotions to maximize brand visibility.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all Empire by participating in effective supplier work-with sales calls.
  • Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage the local promotional Budget and track Spend to ensure budget attainment.
  • Provide Feedback to local management on competitive Brand activity, Pricing and Promotions.
  • Assist local management in creating Brand Programming with Distributor.
  • Identify E-premise opportunities within accounts in assigned territory. · Identify key accounts for” New Brand “launches and provide feedback to local Management and Brand Manager on a scheduled basis · Ability to conduct business daily in an ethical and professional manner with strong interpersonal skills. · Ability to communicate effectively with internal Proximo team members at all levels of the organization, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of the organization. · Ability to analyze inventory reports and depletion reports for the purposes of preparing recaps, coordinating efforts and present solutions and opportunities to solve problems in the marketplace. · Review and report execution of established trade marketing programming, pricing, incentives and execution of all distributor and market plans in all trade channels. · Establish and maintaining key relationships at all assigned distributors and key accounts in the marketplace.


Work with local Distributor sales reps and management in perfecting these Off Premise Accounts.

GMR REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years’ relevant experience in the consumer goods industry, spirits experience and/or 3 -tier distribution experience preferred.
  • On/Off premise Key Account call responsibility experience preferred
  • Demonstrated sales management abilities with proven success in delivering sales goals and objectives
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships with distributors and accounts
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, market trends and competition
  • Proven team leadership
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, time management and presentation skills required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office · Must have a valid state driver's license
