Senior Accountant (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Senior Accountant who will be responsible for daily accounting, month-end close processes, financial reporting review and other ad-hoc special projects. Success in this role requires attention to detail with excellent collaboration and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers rewarding challenges.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for month-end close activities, including but not limited to, cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets, leases, inventory, and other assets/liabilities
- Generate and review financial reports to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting entries and financial data
- Ensure company accounting procedures conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Identify process and systems related opportunities within the general ledger accounting function and lead implementation of changes to drive scalability, efficiency, and productivity
- Administer travel and expense reimbursement
- Work closely with the AP team to reconcile and initiate lease payments, ensuring they are processed completely, accurately, and timely
- Proactively assists in identifying and implementing improvements in both manual and IT-dependent accounting and reporting processes
- Perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting analysis to arrive at a proposal of accounting treatment
- Work independently and cross-functionally with teams across the organization to take on new tasks with a high level of difficultly
- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls, and provide support on special requests when necessary
- Assist with external and internal auditor requests for supporting documentation during annual audits.
- Other ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting with 5 years related experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial analysis techniques
- Ability to evaluate and develop logical solutions to accounting issues
- Experience with multiple entities and consolidating financials
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Prior audit experience
- Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented, requiring limited supervision
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly adapt to change
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the medical or tech industry is a plus
- Experience working with Sage’s Intacct and RAMP is a plus

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
