Overview
We are seeking a skilled Driller Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in well drilling. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with OSHA & MSHA regulations, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Driller Assistant will be responsible for operating various drilling equipment and ensuring the safety and efficiency of drilling operations.
Duties
- Assist with drilling equipment.
- Conduct horizontal drilling operations while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Driller to plan and execute drilling projects efficiently.
- Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project specifications.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA & MSHA regulations and safety guidelines on construction sites.
- Assist in the transportation of materials using forklifts and tankers as needed.
- Document daily activities, including drilling progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in drilling or pipeline construction.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and best practices in the oil and gas sector.
- Previous construction site experience is highly desirable.
- Valid driving license.
- Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety.
