Release Train Engineer (RTE) – Data & Analytics
Location: Cary, NC – Local Candidates Only
Experience: 8 Years | Senior/Lead Level
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Agile Program Lead to drive Agile delivery across a large-scale Data & Analytics environment. The RTE will lead Agile Release Train (ART) activities, facilitate PI Planning, manage cross-team dependencies and risks, and promote an effective Agile Way of Working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
- Coordinate multiple cross-functional teams across Data Engineering, Analytics, BI, MLOps, AI/ML, and Cloud initiatives.
- Manage program-level risks, dependencies, impediments, and escalations.
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, and Business Stakeholders to align priorities and delivery.
- Drive Agile planning, governance, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Track ART/team performance, capacity, velocity, predictability, and delivery metrics.
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile Way of Working, Scrum, and SAFe practices.
- Support delivery planning and reporting using Azure DevOps and Target Process.
Required Skills:
- 8 years of experience in Agile delivery, program management, release management, or Scrum Master roles.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Scrum Master / Agile Way of Working.
- Strong experience with SAFe Agile / Release Train Engineering.
- Experience leading large-scale Data & Analytics programs.
- Strong experience with Agile ceremonies, dependency management, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or Target Process.
