Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install duct wrap insulation following blueprint specifications and schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively to install insulation materials
- Climb ladders and scaffolding to access ductwork at various heights while maintaining strict safety standards
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and power tool safety procedures
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise insulation installation aligned with project requirements
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients or supervisors regarding project progress or issues
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste materials properly, and adhering to site safety regulations
Experience
- Construction experience with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry preferred
- Familiarity with building insulation materials, HVAC systems, and technical drawings or schematics
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions for insulation projects
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment required
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation necessary for precise installation
- Prior experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols essential
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory
