IT Infrastructure Engineer
Denver, Colorado (100% Onsite)
Contract | 4-6 Months Initially
Our client is looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer to lead a network modernization project involving the replacement of legacy Fortinet infrastructure with a new Ubiquiti-based environment across multiple office locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys tackling complex network challenges, modernizing legacy environments, and delivering robust, high-performance infrastructure solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
Assess and audit legacy Fortinet environments
Identify and document critical network functionality and dependencies
Migrate and replicate firewall, switching, and network configurations within a Ubiquiti environment
Configure and deploy new switching hardware
Troubleshoot and optimize wireless network performance
Reconfigure physical network layouts across office locations
Support equipment decommissioning and infrastructure transition activities
Work closely with local office teams during deployment activities
What We're Looking For
Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate)
Strong experience with Ubiquiti / UniFi networking solutions
Expertise in Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking
Experience translating and migrating firewall policies between vendors
Advanced Wi-Fi troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Previous network refresh, migration, or infrastructure modernization experience
