Halff has a current opening for a Surveyor in Training in our Dallas, TX location.
What You Will Do
- Organizing research for field.
- Reducing filed observations.
- Preparing data for drafting.
- Assisting the RPLS by preparing Survey Reports.
- Preparing COGO calculations.
- Assisting the RPLS with the Boundary Analysis.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or a Certificate in Land Surveying.
- SIT certification is preferred, or on the path to getting certified.
- Practical experience in producing survey maps and plats.
- Software skills:
- Civil 3D and Open Roads (ORD).
- Trimble Business Center (TBC).
- Microsoft tools, i.e., Excel, Teams, etc.
- Understanding of Computer Technology (tablets, iPads, etc.) required.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability and willingness to follow instructions that may be written, delivered verbally, or conveyed from various methods of communication.
- Must be flexible, dependable, responsible and disciplined to be a positive representative for Halff and remain punctual on a consistent basis.
- Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to pass a drug and background screen.
- Excellent physical condition to perform field work, outdoors, in various conditions including extreme heat, cold and wind.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Must be able to travel to various project sites.
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
- Highly qualified staff with land surveying and remote-sensing experience.
- Full array of surveying and mapping services using the most current national, state, local and ALTA/ACSM standards.
