Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Ekton, MD branch. We are looking for a Rental Yard Operations Assistant with experience preferred in the heavy-duty truck and/or trailer industry. In this position you will be responsible for assisting the Rental Manager with all activities related to rental operations and administration.

Responsibilities include:
- Process rental reservations.
- Road call management for rental units, including customer and vendor communications.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships including negotiation and procurement.
- Coordinate rental equipment deliveries/pickups and movement between branches.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships with existing and new customers.
- Interface with corporate accounting and administration, as well as other branch locations as needed.
- Maintain inventory and insurance audits.
- Provide clear communication with customers regarding unit damage and insurance issues.
- Comply with the Company’s safety program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience in the heavy-duty truck/trailer/transportation industry is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must by detail oriented, and able to handle multi-tasking regularly.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Must have good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
