We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Swiss CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate Star Swiss CNC machines, while ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters based on job specifications, ensuring precise calibration using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Conduct dimensional measurements and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) checks to verify component accuracy and quality standards
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly, performing basic repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and using hand tools appropriately
- Utilize tool life monitoring features in machine control and setup redundant tooling.
- Facilitate machine operator training across multiple shifts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating Swiss CNC machines, 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar control systems; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents accurately
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks for part design review and planning
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of shop math, tooling setup, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and industrial equipment troubleshooting
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and understanding GD&T principles for quality assurance
- Experience with factory safety standards in production environments; ability to follow strict safety protocols at all times
- Basic math skills necessary for machining calculations; ability to read technical specifications confidently
