What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead-New Jersey position at Halco Lighting?
Halco Lighting Technologies is seeking a Warehouse lead for its newly opened NJ distribution center. Position responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Facility operations at the local level in support of or in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
- Open and close facility, to include use of alarm system, on a daily basis as required.
- Be on call and prepared to go to the warehouse after hours in case of emergency
- Coordinate all shipping, small parcel or receiving functions as required.
- Receive incoming shipments; unload, inspect, and verify product quantities and quality.
- Accurately record inventory transactions using warehouse management system.
- Store products in assigned warehouse locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, dock stocker, swing truck.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- At least two years facility assistant management and/or warehousing leadership
- Specialized knowledge in the area of warehousing.
- Certified to operate powered materials handling equipment.
- Must possess valid drivers license.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to work standing for extended time periods.
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and comprehend customers orders, freight bills, bills of lading, reports, etc.
- Good reading, writing and math skills. Knowledge of and ability to utilize computer software systems -Epicor Eclipse a plus
- Ability to work at elevated machine heights up to 346 when using a high-reach forklift (Swing Truck) to include wearing certified fall-protection equipment when operating machines at height.
