What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside sales specialist - CA position at Halco Lighting?
Halco Lighting Technologies, one of the fastest growing lighting companies, is seeking a CA based inside sales specialist to support our West Coast clients. Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Providing support to distributors, Regional Sales Manager and independent sales agencies in the territory
- Providing support for escalating issues/resolutions for customers.
- Engage in cross functional leadership roles within the Inside Sales team leading best practice exercises and process improvements
- Processing orders, quote requests, customer returns, warranty claims and credit requests quickly.
- Submitting special price requests to pricing and preparing formal quotations for distributors, agents, and Regional Sales Managers.
- Assist customers and agents in crossing over competitor part numbers to Halco part numbers.
- Proactively and productively solve problems and identify opportunities for customers and the company.
- Field customer calls.
- Follow up on any open issues within assigned territory until they are handled to completion.
- Respond in a timely and professional manner to any/all customer inquiries, questions, and/or concerns received.
- Communicate with appropriate internal resources any potential new and/or add-on sales opportunities, at-risk customers, competitive data, and/or other information that might be relevant to the overall business.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager of assigned territory providing insights into sales trends at the distributor level to identify opportunities.
- Call on customer accounts which are assigned directly to execute and close sales.
- Participate in local counter days as appropriate, representing Halco lighting.
Minimum requirements:
- Minimum of two years of inside sales/customer service experience working for a lighting agent or manufacturer in a similar capacity
- Must be based in CA - Northern CA preferred
- Prior lighting technical support background preferred
- Prior utilization of ERP a must - Epicor Eclipse a plus
- High aptitude in sales
- Extraordinary communication skills - Telephone, written and in person
- Problem solving skills - Solution focused with ability to diffuse negative outcomes
- Relationship builder - Professional, friendly, and courteous
- Good at multi-tasking and keeping organized
- Self-driven - Results oriented and goal focused
- Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office programs
