Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Japanese restaurant chef to lead culinary operations in our dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management in a fast-paced hospitality setting, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Chef will play a vital role in supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and maintaining smooth food service operations.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high-quality standards.
  • Oversee menu planning, ensuring a variety of innovative and appealing dishes that cater to diverse dietary needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the kitchen.
  • Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste.
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and client specifications.
  • Oversee food production for restaurant service, ensuring timely delivery of orders with consistent quality.
  • Collaborate with management on food service strategies, including cost control and menu development.
  • Monitor shift management activities to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally to uphold the establishment’s reputation for excellence.

Experience

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments or similar high-end hospitality environments.
  • Demonstrated banquet experience along with supervising teams within a culinary setting.
  • Strong background in dietary department procedures, food safety standards, and inventory management.
  • Extensive culinary experience encompassing food production, catering, and restaurant management.
  • Leadership skills with previous team management responsibilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Experience in managing food service operations including shift management and inventory control is highly desirable. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to culinary excellence and operational efficiency. Candidates should have a passion for innovation in the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality assurance.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
